Reaching
Exploration in form to make something"Cool"
Reaching is the culmination of ten weeks of form exploration. The goal given to us by our professor was “Make something cool.” Each week we would present new drawings and models and receive critique on the progression of the form.
The process I followed to get to the final form was a long and unconventional one. Instead of starting with a function to design towards, we focused solely on forms. These forms were made out of found items. The form I reached has both animalistic as well human features. It evolved from a couple of toothbrushes glued to a bottle to a geometric form.
